Cookie Policy

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They allow websites to remember information about your visit — such as whether you are logged in — to improve your experience.

Cookies We Use

Session Cookie (PHPSESSID): This is an essential cookie set by PHP when you visit CarryLink. It keeps you logged in as you navigate between pages. It expires when you close your browser or after 30 days if you select "Remember me". Without this cookie the platform cannot function.

CSRF Token (_csrf_token): A security cookie included in every session to protect your account from cross-site request forgery attacks. It is strictly necessary and cannot be disabled.

Third-Party Cookies — Payment Processors

CarryLink integrates with Paystack (NGN card payments) and Stripe (international card payments). When you initiate a payment or wallet top-up, you interact with their secure payment pages. These processors may set their own cookies governed by their respective policies: Paystack Privacy Policy · Stripe Privacy Policy. We do not control cookies set by these third parties.

Third-Party Cookies — Social Sharing

CarryLink trip and request pages include share buttons for WhatsApp, X (Twitter), and Facebook. These buttons link out to the respective platforms — they do not embed third-party scripts or set cookies on our site. Once you click through to WhatsApp, X, or Facebook, their own cookie and privacy policies apply.

Third-Party Resources — CDN

Bootstrap and Bootstrap Icons are loaded from a CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net). CDN providers may set analytics or performance cookies subject to their own policies.

What We Do NOT Use

CarryLink does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party tracking scripts (such as Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar). We do not track you across other websites.

Cookie Duration

Our session cookie lasts for the duration of your browser session (until you close your browser) or 30 days if you check "Remember me" at login. Security cookies (CSRF) expire with the session. No persistent tracking cookies are set beyond your login preference.

Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies (PHPSESSID, CSRF token) will prevent you from logging in or using the platform.

We may update this Cookie Policy if we add new features or integrations that introduce additional cookies. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
